DOG & BONE
SUMMARY
Spring 1985—A very enjoyable collaboration. The Dog would follow the Bone through changing keys, meters and styles. On a few rare occasions, Saliva would be included. It was an uncommon, casual style of music, but one that generated many ideas that would later be polished into decent songs, and a blast to play.
Faceless Jazz Band was a spinoff, with one gig (4/18/86) to our credit: the Tiger Bay Pub, which is where I heard Fred play for the first time. Sean played trumpet, Drew Jones was on drums and I played bass. When our five-song set was done, Sean exited and Ropes and John Greer entered for a rousing Savage Gulf show.
