solo electric guitarNOTES
In four sections (to be played without pause). The composer’s desired effect is a meditational mood with a quasi-improvisational flavor. The name derives from plucking with the flesh of the fingers, adding more “punch” to the tone than the traditional method of playing with the fingernails. Amplification should be as clean as possible, with a little reverb (optionally, a very mild “chorus” effect can be included) to add a spacial dimension to the tone. If the performer desires to play using the nails, then amplifier equalization should be adjusted to simulate the somewhat muffled “flesh” sound.
